Admittedly, sometimes the holidays can be really tough for people. Getting together with family can, at times, be really very stressful. It’s amazing how such a magical time of year can cause so much grief. This is why I really enjoy Christmas crackers. Not only is it a great way to break the ice, but it’s meant to be goofy. First, we unify the table by taking one end of each Christmas cracker and then the other end of whomever is sitting next to you. Next, we crack it open! Almost everyone will get a silly crown to wear throughout dinner and ridiculous prizes everyone can laugh about before feasting.

Many of these Christmas crackers are glittery and shimmery. They look inviting! There are also a variety of different styles of different family members or themes. I almost feel guilty for cracking into these and ruining all the beautiful paper!
Do you have a funny Christmas cracker story? I don’t remember the joke in detail, but I remember one of my cousin’s had a really corny joke in his Christmas cracker.
